Ladepunkt wurde als Crowdfunding von Mitgliedern des goingelectric.de Forums finanziert und gebaut, auf Basis von OpenEVSE. Spenden werden erbeten und sollen neben dem verbrauchten Strom auch neuen Ladepunkten zu Gute kommen. Einen Anteil daran haben auch an die Stadtwerke Lübeck, die mit der dilettantischen Planung ihrer einzigen Ladesäule in Lübeck auf ihrem abgesperrten Betriebsgelände viel Unmut auf sich gezogen haben und dafür sogar eine eigene Ladekarte herausgeben.
